When you complete the Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology (Heavy Vehicle Servicing Pre-Apprenticeship) you will have what employers are looking for in an apprentice heavy vehicle or plant mechanic.

You will have the skills and knowledge to work effectively in the heavy automotive industry, working on loaders, bulldozers, dump trucks and haul trucks, inspecting and servicing transmissions, steering, brakes, fuel injection systems, hydraulics and batteries, troubleshooting basic faults, workplace safety and health.

Further Study Option(s)

As some of the off-the-job training is covered in the qualification, it is possible to achieve a Certificate III of trade studies in shorter time, providing the on-the-job competencies are met to the employers' satisfaction.

Successful completion of the pre-apprenticeship qualification may exempt you from approximately one third of off-the-job apprenticeship subjects, depending on the career path you choose.

VET Student Loans

VET Student Loans is the new program that replaces the current VET FEE HELP scheme.
