Successful completion of the qualification provides you with the knowledge and skills to work effectively in the building industry, painting techniques, interpreting plans, preparing surfaces, measuring, calculating the right amount of materials for the job, working with scaffolding safety at heights and workplace health and safety.

Painting and decorating is known as the finishing trade, encompassing both residential and commercial areas.  It can include new constructions as well as restoring historically significant buildings.
