This qualification provides the practical skills and knowledge to design garden landscapes or renovate existing gardens.

Training is provided in the areas of hard landscaping, pests, diseases and weeds, plant knowledge, irrigation, soils, plant nutrition, landscape machinery use, chemical use and horticultural safety, building on the skills gained in the AHC21610 D466 Certificate II in Landscaping.

Students will learn how to select materials and plants for landscape projects, set out and landscape a range of sites, and construct stone, brick, block and timber structures and features and learn about irrigation installation and safety in the workplace. Landscaping involves physical labour and students will be required to demonstrate a reasonable level of fitness.
