Diploma of Engineering - Technical (Mechatronics)

National ID: MEM50212 | State ID: WB83

In this course you will learn how to use programmable logic controller (PLC) equipment for automation tasks (materials handling, robotics and production) for both pneumatic and electrical equipment.

Mechatronics is based on elements of mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering and computer science, but is a distinct discipline in its own right. A mechatronics engineer is someone who can understand and merge various pieces of technology and integrate them to produce a working system.

Covering both materials and use of material testing equipment, you will also gain techniques for writing technical documents.

The Diploma of Engineering - Technical (Mechatronics) shares the same first semester with the Diploma of Mechanical Engineering. You can switch streams between the two by choosing the correct electives.
