Machinists are responsible for the maintenance, repair and manufacture of metal products and machinery. Machinists use a variety of equipment to create new and replacement parts. Study pathways encompass a variety of streams and specialities, including fitting and machining, fluid power and computer numerical control (CNC).

Prepares you for work in mechanical engineering research, design, manufacture operations, and maintenance. These qualifications encompass areas such as fluid power, PLC programming, tuning of multi-loop cascade controls, CAD/CAM, and hydraulic and pneumatic processes.
