The course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to perform tasks associated with entry-level workforce participation, in a range of trade-related industries. Some tasks include safe operations within the workplace, communication in the workplace, planning and organisational requirements, general maintenance within a variety of settings and communication with trades persons.
While undertaking this course, you will be exposed to a trades or workshop-related working environment, where you will learn practical skills in safe operations, communication, planning and organisation, general maintenance and a range of trade-related duties.

This entry-level course has been developed for year 11 and 12 high school students to provide a taster into a Trades or Workshop-related career. It acts as a suitable bridging course into a pre-apprenticeship, traineeship or apprenticeship.
