When you complete the Certificate II in Aeroskills you open the door to a career in aviation maintenance, working on the advanced technology that flies 8 million people across the world every day and is a great pathway into an apprenticeship and a Certificate IV in Aeroskills.

The Certificate II in Aeroskills course is designed to deliver both theoretical and practical knowledge enabling you to gain a solid foundation of both the knowledge and skills required to enter into an aviation maintenance career.

The fields of study include; aircraft airframe construction, aircraft hydraulic and pneumatic systems, aircraft mechanical control systems, maintenance of mechanical components or parts, aircraft avionic fundamentals, aviation industry regulation and standards, aviation maintenance documentation, Work, Safety and Health practices in aviation.

In the workshop, you will learn both manufacturing hand skills and the basic skills relating to the inspection and maintenance of various aircraft components.

The successful completion of this qualification enables you to be highly competitive for employment as an aircraft maintenance apprentice. You will need to be employed and registered as an apprentice or trainee before you can commence apprenticeship training. Further possible career opportunities include becoming an assistant aircraft mechanical technician or assistant hangar technician.
