This course provides a broad introduction to working with a range of animals in a variety of animal care workplaces with no previous experience necessary. This course will kick-start your amazing career with animals.

During the course you will be required to complete work placement somewhere that houses and cares for any type of companion animals.

This course involves some physical work and students must be prepared to work outdoors and deal with dirty, smelly situations.

Personal requirements are:

·         Being passionate about animals and their welfare

·         Good communication skills and enjoy working with people

·         Able to work well in a team, enjoying practical and manual activities

·         Confidence and patience when working with animals

·         Able to undertake manual and sometimes heavy work, and

·         Being observant and methodical.
