When you complete the Certificate IV in Applied Fashion Design and Merchandising course you will be ready to work as a design workroom assistant, trade drawing technician, junior CAD operator, fabric and supply sourcer, assistant patternmaker/grader, garment finisher/presser, alterations technician, production machinist, specification technician, or despatcher and quality controller.

The Certificate IV in Applied Fashion Design and Merchandising course immerses students in creative and versatile skills such as fashion design and colour principles; fashion forecasting; technical fashion drawing; fibre and textile investigation and sourcing; sustainability and ethical production; digital technologies for fashion design, patternmaking and grading; and specialist garment construction such as tailored shirts and a denim jacket.
