Certificate IV in Fitness

If you want to become a Personal Trainer but you have not completed SIS30315 Certificate III in Fitness, then this new 9 month program will help you achieve your goal faster. After completing the selected pre requisite units in the first 10 weeks of training, you will then begin the Certificate IV in Fitness providing you with the skills, knowledge and competencies to begin your career as a Personal Trainer.

Within your studies you will learn to deliver fitness programs to older adults, children and people with specific needs; advanced strength and conditioning techniques and programming; to use a wide range of indoor and outdoor equipment in fitness programs; work with allied health professionals; and sales and marketing to build your own client base or business.

Practical training will be conducted in the fully equipped gym facilities, as well as various outdoor venues. You will also be required to complete on-the-job experience in industry, this may include early morning, lunchtime or late afternoon shifts outside of normal class time.

*You will also need to obtain your Senior First Aid certificate with another recognised training provider.

This qualification provides a pathway to work in a diversity of fitness industry businesses including fitness centres, gyms, aquatic facilities, community facilities and in open spaces, where risk management (through risk assessment and hazard control processes) does not already exist.

VET Student Loans

VET Student Loans is the new program that replaces the current VET FEE HELP scheme.
