This course will prepare you to become a health care worker. This is an active, physical career which provides assistance to healthcare staff and clients.
Please note:
· There is an online reading component to this course and as such, you should be computer literate and have available computer and internet access.
· Includes practical placement at a health facility in the second term of the program. An extra day per week (Tuesday) scheduled for placement in term 2.
You will be required to have the following checks prior to work placement.
· National Police Clearance (Form available at the post office. Needs to be completed and submitted to post office asap)
· Working With Children Check (Form will be given to you at orientation)
· Medical screening and immunisations (Form will be given to you at orientation)
· Uniform is a requirement for this course (This requirement will be discussed on the first day. Uniform is navy blue scrub top and pants, with closed in shoes.)
