Certificate II

Start your career in a commercial kitchen. 

This qualification provides a pathway to work in kitchen operations in such as in restaurants, hotels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops; and institutions such as aged care facilities, hospitals, prisons and schools.  You'll learn practical food preparation and cookery skills including hygienic and safe work practices, cleaning kitchen and equipment, preparing dishes and correct storage of perishable items. 

After completing this course you'll have the skills and knowledge required to begin a commercial cookery or chef apprenticeship. 

Do you have a desire to work in construction working with timber?

Carpenters and joiners construct, install, renovate and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, wallboard and other materials, and cut, shape and fit timber parts to form structures and fittings.

When you complete this pre-apprenticeship you'll be what employers are looking for as an apprentice carpenter and joiner. Give yourself a better chance of gaining an apprenticeship and a flying start in learning a trade.

This qualification will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge for entry into the financial industry. 

Successful completion of this qualification provides you with the opportunity to work in entry level positions in small to medum businesses that either have general or specific financial services requirements

Our Certificate II in Community Services gives you real-life exposure to the diversity of community care and support services in your local community – youth, aged, disability, health and social services. It’s your entry point in learning how the community service and care sector operates and how to support clients with a diverse range of needs. The completion of the Certificate II in Community Services will open up a world of possibilities for students who can apply for further training pathways of their interest, including youth work, education support, early childhood education and care, disability care, aged care, health services and nursing.

Are you looking for an electrical career and current skills?

When you complete the Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start)(Electrotechnology Pre-Apprenticeship) you'll be what employers are looking for as an apprentice in the electrical, instrumentation or electrical servicing trades.

Are you looking for an electronics career and current skills?

When you complete the Certificate II in Data and Voice Communications you'll be flicking the switch on a career in electronics, as a data cabler or telecommunications technician (with additional training).

• assemble and dismantle components
• use cabling drawings
• understand standards, codes and specifications and

It includes ACMA (Australian Communications and Media Authority) requirements for open cabler registration.

When you complete the Certificate II in Baking (Baking Pre-Apprenticeship) you will be ready for an apprenticeship in the baking industry.

When you complete the Certificate II in Automotive Body Repair Technology (Vehicle Body Painting Pre-Apprenticeship) you'll have what employers are looking for in an apprentice auto body repairer/painter.
