Start your Japanese language and culture journey

This beginner-level course will give you Japanese language skills and intercultural knowledge to enable you to communicate in Japanese in basic social and workplace situations, both in Australia and overseas. It is design for students who have little or no prior knowledge of the Japanese language. 

You'll develop basic speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills to develop an understanding of Japanese culture and society.  Our experienced lecturers are passionate and focused on creating an enjoyable learning experience.

​​Proficiency in basic Japanese language - communicate effectively in basic Japanese conversations, including greetings, introductions, and simple questions and answers. ​

​Time management - manage your time effectively to complete assessments, practice speaking and listening, and study new vocabulary and grammar.
