When you complete the Certificate II in Engineering (Mechanical Fitter and Machinist Pre-Apprenticeship) you will greatly improve your chance of getting a mechanical fitting or machinist apprenticeship in industries such as mining, automotive, or hydraulics. You will gain the skills and knowledge to be able to operate lathes and milling and drilling machines, make machines, parts, and tools, work with pumps and hydraulics, safely use workshop machines, hand and power tools, measuring, read and interpret technical drawings, and workplace health and safety.
